Wipro Posts Third Quarter Net Profit of Rs 1004 crore

With IT companies reporting appropriate results in the third quarter, Wipro Technologies- the third largest software exporter of India, today announced its third quarter results with a net profit of Rs 1003.9 crore. The company posted a net profit of Rs 854 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.


The total income of the company grew to Rs 6,673 crore in October-December quarter whereas it stood at Rs 5433.2 crore in the same period last year. The revenues from the IT services rose 3.5 percent in constant currency with four new multi-million dollar deals in the third quarter. 31 new employees joined Wipro during the quarter.


Pointing out the current economic situation, Chairman Azim Premji said that we are currently living in tough times and facing significant challenges that are impacting businesses across sectors and segments.
