TCS Grabs World Bank Projects after Satyam Chaos

Anurag Bhullar

After debarring Satyam from its list, the World Bank has now chosen another Indian IT giant Tata Consultancy Services to do much of the work which was previously initiated by Satyam.

TCS is managed to bag much of the Satyam’s projects through the process of competitive bidding, which clearly shows that the World Bank is not at all biased towards a particular IT company in India.

On Monday, World Bank in a statement revealed the names of three Indian IT companies that have been declared ineligible for carrying out business operations with it. Besides Satyam, Wipro and Megasoft Technologies are the two other companies in the list of World Bank. Two other Non-IT Indian companies, Gap International and Nestor Pharmaceuticals and one individual Surendra Singh have also been banned by the World Bank to conduct business with it.
