Criminal proceedings might be initiated against Raju

With a number of authorities like SEBI and Department of Company Affairs carrying out investigations into Satyam operations, custodial interrogation of Ramalinga Raju could not be ruled out, as informed by Minister of state for Industry, Ashwini Kumar.


The letter from Raju, confessing about the artificial decoration of the accounts has sent everybody into shock, right from corporate houses to governing bodies. It is certainly a matter to be looked minutely, as to how could the IT service provider hide the true facts from stakeholders in such clean manner, since years. The tainted company has not only created a no way to go situation for its employees but also brought defame to the Indian IT sector.


However, Kumar said that judging the whole sector by this single incident of cooking up books cannot be justified as Satyam was an aberration.
