Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL), one of the leading and fastest growing car manufacturers of India, is all set to increase its car prices by upto 2 % from January. The Managing Director of HMIL, HS Lheem gave this indication while speaking at the launch of Hyundai’s new model i20.
According to him, the company will try to keep the price adjustment at minimum but it may be around the price hike initiated in June this year. In June, a price mark-up range of Rs 1000- Rs 18000 was taken by the company across all models.
Hyundai launched its new compact car model named i20 on Monday available in the price range of Rs 4.8 lakh to Rs 5.8 lakh. Three variants have been released by the company of i20- Magna priced at Rs 4.79 lakh, Asta at 5.59 lakh and Asta (O) at Rs 5.81 lakh (ex-showroom prices, Delhi). The company is expected to sell 15,000 i20 cars in India and will export around 2.0 lakh cars.
