MP Rana
An inadvertent mistake on part of Nokia wherein its mapping application showed Kashmir as a part of Pakisthan has led to violent protests in some part of the country.
Protestors in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh have burnt a Nokia store protesting against the wrong depiction.
Incidentally Nokia has officially admitted to its error and has mentioned that the error has now been corrected and urged users to upgrade to the most current version of Nokia Maps.
With mapping applications getting popular in India, chances of such mistakes repeating again remain and companies need to doubly sure regarding the information they are presenting.
