Sun Direct DTH Rises In Delhi

Giving a push to the expansion plans in northern India regions, Chennai-based Direct-to-Home (DTH) service provider Sun Direct is finally here in Delhi. The company with the help of various marketing programs is showing up great exposure through out the city. With this move, its services will now be available across the country with an exception of east. Sun Direct has already been launched Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

On the eve of coming festive season, Sun Direct DTH service has come up to the customers with a launch offer of Rs 999 for a subscription period of 10 months. The offer also includes free Dish and Set Top Box with an installation and activation charge of Rs 1000. Customer can also choose from 20 add-on packages that range from Rs 10 to Rs 115 per month.

Sun Direct was launched last year in December, 2007 in four states of the Southern region. It is presently having a customer base of 1.5 million users and the company perceives an equal growth opportunities in the Northern region also. The company has serious plans to invest a sum of Rs 150 crore more in the expansion plans to boost up its client base to 3 million. Sun Direct comes up MPEG4 technology that offer better compression and signal quality. The company is going to face a tough competition in the DTH market from Zee Dish TV, Tata Sky and the recently launched Reliance Big TV and Airtel Digital TV.
