Praful Patel Behind Jet’s Layoff Reversal Decision

After the yesterday’s evening announcement of Jet Airways Chairperson Naresh Goyal, to pull out the decision of laying-off 1,900 employees from the company, Civil Aviation Minister of India, Praful Patel said that the decision of reinstating employees comes after the company was pulled up by the ministry, according to a Times Now report.

Patel said that he called the Jet Airways Chairman to find a solution of the ongoing problem in 24 hours and Goyal assured him to take necessary measures as per the requirement. The Civil Aviation Ministry was keeping an eye on the current developments on the matter.
	The employees of Jet Airways were going through a trauma situation after the Jet Airways management sacked them but reinstating decision provided them with a sigh of relief. In a press conference yesterday evening, Naresh Goyal rescinded the decision to lay off 1,900 employees and asked them to come back to work from Friday. Goyal also said that he has taken the decision as the father of the Jet Airways Family and he is under no pressure either internally or externally. He also added that he did not consult anybody and he has taken the decision from his heart not from his mind.
